Unemployment Extension: New Group Targets Tier V Supporter
By Stephanie Robins on August 23, 2010, 8:24 pm Posted in Finance NewsAlmost as a slap in the Democrats face, a new group has emerged to fight against any Democratic candidate that has attempted to pass anything social, Democratic, or economically beneficial. They emerge attacking an unemployment extension, and tier v supporter, Harry Reid, Democratic Senate Majority leader. The bad part is, is that the group is hiding behind allowances that most Democrats would abolish, oh, and the fact that they can easily hide exactly who, and what their intentions are.
Beat Up But Not Beat Down
In a magnanimous effort, the group was formed by the Republican defeated in the primary, Danny Tarkanian, a Nevada businessman that was ousted in the primary by Sharon Angle, the very radical opponent. He had this to say, “The votes that he [Senator Reid] has been making haven’t been a big focus of the race. We feel the majority of Nevadans will feel they were not good votes.” The web based attack claims that it will remind the Nevada voters of the decisions that Senator Reid made.
No Disclosure Required
This recent group has taken the advantage of a tax law that allows contributors, both major and minor, to remain anonymous. This means that any lobbyist wishing to gain favor from the candidate may do so freely. This is something that President Obama and other Democrats are working against as this election goes on, more campaign funding transparency. At present, private groups electing to support government candidates aren’t required to disclose the contributors or how much. Another thing that has come to the attention of this and other publications is that many candidates, both Republican and Democrat, haven’t clearly been displaying their party affiliation in the advertising they are doing, and on their individual campaign websites.
Not that I tend to agree with anything any politician has to say, but when President Obama recently said that the only people who oppose this, are the ones who have something to hide, I must agree.

You story lacks any evidence that thier is any such group. Sounds totally fabricated on your part. Where is the group? What’s there name?
Use your brain and Google and you will find that many Republicans don’t support extending unemployment benefits because then businesses can get employees for half price, and it’s not just the republicans, the democrats (both parties really) need to do what is right and pass the unemployment benefit tier 5, there are hundreds of thousands of desperate people that will be rioting soon if they lose their home etc. what else do they have to lose? If they go to jail, at least they get 3 meals a day and shelter. We need to demand that our government do something immediately not after elections, that is just bs, would you elect a president that says they will only tell you what they think about the issues till after they are elected? Take back your government America
