Unemployment Extension: Claiming The Dream And Restoring Honor In D.C.

By Stephanie Robins on August 29, 2010, 8:02 am Posted in Finance News

Glenn Beck, who can reportedly cry on demand, has hosted the restoring honor rally, but his rally is not intended to stir up political passions. Th Fox News pundit, and popular conspiracy theorist has more altruistic motives for the rally. Al Sharpton and others have organized a counter rally. The businesses in Washington, D.C. do not care about political motivations, as long as the people who go to these rallies spend their money. The November elections may see a return to power of the Republican party, but it will not be because of what a Fox News commentator does or not decide to do.

The Political Background for the Restoring Honor Rallies

Beck has asked viewers attending the rally not to carry signs or any other forms of protest. He has lined up pastors and others to teach history that does not necessarily match up with the way events occurred. However, the raid occurs at a time when the nation faces much larger problems than not returning to God. Beck has brought experts on his show stating that the country may soon face another great depression. The Unemployment extension and the failure to extend the COBRA benefits may or may not make things worse. The two events are not connected.

Will Beck’s Rally Make a Difference in November

The more moderate candidates of the Tea Party do not necessarily agree with Beck’s politics and believe he should check to see how much former Mormon church president Ezra Taft Benson supported the fringe group, the John Birch society. However, the American public remains fed-up with polices of the Obama administration which have deepened the recession and worsened the economic problems. Beck may support the Republicans, but he will not majorly effect the vote in November. Fear and uncertainty will remain the deciding factors.

Glen Beck does not care about the unemployed. He thinks they are lazy and don’t want to work. He is WRONG. We want to work and need help until the job situation improves. Obama is doing nothing and things look bleak. Please help us be able to buy food and just barely live.

hey don’t watch his show or go to his rally or listen to his radio show.. Glen Beck may or may not give a damn about the unemployed but he’s not a politician with in power to effect them anyway.. But since the current politicians haven’t done anything at all but extend unemployment I would gather they don’t give a damn either..

Which if it isn’t obvious is actually a bad thing..

  8. J.R. says:

Glen Beck is a phony. He said it himself ” Unemployed are un-American”. Who the hell is this two faced bastard trying to fool?

  9. Big Ed says:

Let’s see, hmmm, who should the unemployed vote for come November? Glen Specks party (no ideas, except, to say no to everything) or Democrat ( who at least are coming up with plans to make our situation better) some ideas are better than none, I chose democrat, see you at the polls, fifteen million unemployed, who suffered from Bunning and his boys, ha, ha, ha.

Glen Beck is a true American and a national hero. Listen and learn. Hope and pray that this country returns to its greatness.

BECK is a DRUNK and an IDIOT! Who can believe in someone like him anyway? Besides that, he is a FoxNews member, the organization of liars, low-lives which needs to have their females anchors’ legs and breasts exposed (totally anti-professional!) in order to gain audience. These people don’t know what they are talking about, they are all a bunch of losers. Shephard is another one of them who sold his soul to the devil. O’Reilly is a pervert who got away with his indecent at work sexual harassment. Money talks! Now…how can anyone even trust service like that? In a rate of 1 to 10 being 10 the best, I wouldn’t even give Fox and GlenBeck a 1! OUT with BECK and FoxNews! OK, fox lovers, start bashing me, I won’t change my opinion, if you don’t like it get it over with!

Obama says today he has a plan to turn economy around. I sure hope it not like the past plans he done to turn it around. The stimulus that was supposed have created so many jobs by now UI was going to be under 8%. So much for him knowing any plan that will work. Heck how would he know what to do. He never run anything a company nothing that hired people and grew a company. he has no clue like rest of the lawyers in congress don’t.

Those shouting God the loudest are just about getting your money. You have too many example. I’m a Christian but I know better. Chritians shouldn’t be lying especially when nobody ask them anything.
