Unemployment And Cobra – Democratic Health Care Solutions

The Democratic Health Care solutions have proven to create more problems than they have solved. A shining example of the initial failure to reform America’s health care system is Medicare, the government-sponsored program for older Americans. The original designers of the program never expects as many Americans to be on its roles as there are now. Medicaid is another example of a bloated program that started with good intentions. As odd as it may seem, COBRA was one of the best government-run health subsidies, but it was never intended to be permanent.

What Democratic Solution

The original attempt to take over health care started in the 1990′s during the Clinton administration. The attempt failed, which proved to be a good thing for the American economy and the people who liked their current health insurance plan. Doing nothing did not provide coverage to the millions of Americans who did not have health insurance after the plan, but the economy was made no better or worse. Most people remember the 90′s as a prosperous decade with a Commander-in-Chief whose morals left something to be desired. Clinton probably did more for the cigar industry than any other President in American History.

What About The New Bill

The new bill is not a solution to the health care crisis either. All it did was force money out of people’s pockets and into the pockets of private insurers. It also, unlike any other bill in American history, forced citizens to contract with a private firm. These features, more than any other item in the bill, will cause the judicial system to throw the bill out in the long run. If a Republican congress does not do the deed before the Supreme Court gets around to doing overturning the reform package. It ultimately solves nothing, except for making the health insurance industry more solvent.
