Immigration Reform: Is Brewer, Staff Making Bank On New Laws

Arizona’s new immigration laws were well received by the citizens of the state, and many states are planning on following suit with them…once all the drama surrounding the issue dies down. While this type of measure is going to eventually become necessary, considering the problem that this is becoming in our country, one wonders at the motives that the creators of the law had…I found a few motives, a few million at least.

Imprisoning Illegal Aliens

Illegals come in many flavors, not just Hispanics, let’s be clear there, I don’t want to be perceived as picking on one race or another. The new law will put lawbreakers in a state prison, once convicted, and most will be, and Arizona’s prisons are run by CCA (Corrections Corporation of America). In fact this is not an unusual practice, most states use the same company. It appears though, that the Brewer staff has many financial ties to this organization…political ties, familial ties, ad even employment ties.

The Brewer Staff

State Senator Pearce, who drafted the legislation, has been tied to this group through political donations to his war chest, and groups he belongs to. Paul Senseman, a former lobbyist for CCA, is Ms. Brewer’s deputy chief of staff, and his wife still lobbies for them. Chuck Coughlin, the governor’s lead policy adviser, is also President of the lobbying firm that represents the company. Starting to see a pattern yet?

Reform Is Needed

Yes, it is, but this kind of thing has to be more well thought out. This group (it appears) has had some self serving decisions to make…and they sure made some good decisions, for them. Private prisons make billions off the American taxpayer every year, and Governor Brewer has been surrounded by many of the high-power individuals in this industry. I wonder what her personal financial statement would reveal…more financial connections, perhaps?

I would rather the prisons benefit for a short time than all those employers that have benefitted for years.
If the government won’t deport them then prisons are the logical place for them to be held.

  2. Ian says:

I say we start deporting rednecks and Teabeggars. These creatures exemplify everything that is wrong w/ our country.
No human is illegal, and shame on GOP for keeping hostage the fates of millions of hard-working immigrants.

  3. Greg says:

The bottom line is that they are here illegally. That is a Fact. According to our laws, anyone here illegally should be deported according to the Constitution. There is no “gray” area here, no one particular “race” if you will. The law states that ANY person from ANY country here illegally is to deported. Fact.

This also has nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats. The law applies to everyone and should be enforced by all. no matter what party their with.

    The law is the law.

People can debate the law this way and that way, but in the end it comes down to one thing: If your here illegally, you get deported to your “Country of Origin”.

    Yes, it is that Simple.

The racists influence in the USA is devastating. Why can’t the government producing the law that every single gun owner in the country has to give a $1500 psychological FBI test the same for the drivers license that the living and learning process not to life live without discipline. So that these rednecks and tea baggers these vulgar little maggot the worthless bag of filth got under control. So that the tourist their money coming back to the country.

some of you had good points to start, yhen you totally put me in a rage. what the ****! government do what you prommised and drop it!!
Their people, they are poor! They are doing the samething the government did to get america, you moved in and took it, no regards to the current owners, except one thing, there not here for the land, or slavery, they are here to servive!!, what about all the labor factories Americans have in other countries, that are paying the workers little to nothing? oh, lets just look over that shall we.
What about the gangs they have over there? People coming up missing, or burned alive? Not able to walk down the street, constantly looking oveer your shoulder, hoping there is no one there when you do. You people over here are always talking mess about stuff you know nothing, only what you hear, and after all the mistakes america has made you would think you would learn, i mean you all do like to dwell in the past dont you!
I am just saying give them a brake.
Now dont get me wrong i do think we need to weed out the bad ones, but not every illegal his here for good. But you all just keep shoving them in the same group.
If this were you we are talking about, I mean you had no job, no money, your family was starving, what would you do? File for a visa, spend 10 to 15 thousand dollars, If you use a lawyer thats what it could run you,and wait 3 to 7 years to get your papers? or do it your self and spend 5 to 8 thousand dollars, then wait 5 to 10 years for your papers.
Heck you would not have any reason to come over here then , would you? Your family would be dead. and then on top of all that how are you even going to do it? you have no job, and the little money you do get from doing odd jobs, you use it to feed your family.
That all I am saying open your hearts and show a little compashion to them.
