Survey Shows 25% Feel Gov Critical Of Toyota To Support GM Progress
By Jeffrey Paulsen on April 17, 2010, 9:44 am Posted in Business NewsSince their introduction into the American market, Toyota (NYSE:TM) has been continuously targeted by the American government, in order to spur growth in the domestic markets for automobile manufacturing and sale. When several Toyota models began to show signs of defects in manufacturing and testing, the American government jumped at the chance to attack the company.
Domestic Car Companies
In order to perpetuate the success of domestic car companies, the United States has hopped on the bandwagon that was previously driven by angry consumers, and continues to relentlessly prosecute and fine Toyota for a number of offenses and flaws in their manufacturing and testing.
Global
The global economic crisis lead to the complete closure of many of Ford (NYSE:F) and General Motors (NYSE:GM) factories and dealerships all across America. If anything, Toyota has become a scapegoat the American government can use to their advantage, and to the advantage of the domestic car companies. This demagogy doesn’t seem to be nearing an end anytime soon, continued government-supported public lawsuits have been filed against the car company in retaliation for the number of deaths and damages that both citizen and state have sustained as a result of Toyota’s reluctance to admit their mistakes early, but has this gone on long enough? Should the American public and the government forgive Toyota for an honest mistake, or should they continue to batter and prosecute the company?
Toyota North
“Opinions are divided,” says Toyota’s North American representative, “My company will have to earn the trust of its customers and the American public again, in general, or suffer the consequences of bad policy.” Toyota turned around full-circle when their founder broke down in sobs in the middle of a congressional hearing. Since then, the company has begun and ambitious marketing campaign to clear their image, and paint their company in a more positive light since the crisis.

Now blame the government for Toyota problems. I swear, that Teflon coated company call “Toyota” is like a God-like company. They can not do any wrong!
Toyota brought those problems upon themselves. Wake up!
Good God, GM sucks and so does Toyota. That’s all I’ve learned out of this crisis. Wake up, smell the facts, and get over it, you dumb prepubescent car fanboys!
Tell that to the families who lost loved ones because Toyota lied and sold them a defective car. You may like Toyota as a brand, but good god, not at the risk of my families safety because Toyota isn’t a responsible manufacturer. Open your eyes and see what it is, Toyota is not trust worthy or are their vechiles.
Toyota is the Tiger Woods of auto companies. They lied to millions of customers and when caught tried to cover up their problems.
